Responsibilities:
- Managing existing team of buyers
- Estimating costs of raw material and components to be able to negotiate with vendors and clients
-Demonstrating a deep understanding of material and manufacturing costing and pricing
- Negotiating terms and conditions for raw material and components purchasing, and closing the deal
- Setting targets for cost reduction and lead related projects
- Identifying the most competitive suppliers and leveraging the supply base
- Continuously reducing costs through aggressive negotiations, value analysis, long-term agreements as well as supply base and industry knowledge
- Selecting suppliers for existing products through effective use of proven procurement skills in an automotive environment
- Securing quality of delivered materials and time schedule
- Interacting with global corporate purchasing activities
- Implementing efficient policies and working processes
- Recruiting, developing and retaining team members to achieve objectives
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering
- 8-10 years experience in purchasing / manufacturing for automotive sector
- Strong purchasing and supply base knowledge
- Extensive knowledge on material & process costing and pricing
- Previous experience on setting-up and restructuring organization, in order to achieve excellence and efficiency
- Good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Able to make decisions independently and results-oriented
- Charismatic and natural leader
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin
